Alberta Bionix is a biomedical engineering-based student project at the University of Alberta, working on a robotic leg prosthetic. Our team includes a wide variety of students across campus, and anywhere from first to final year. Our goal is to enable active control in lower limb prostheses using electromyography (EMG) for volitional, “on command” movements and transitional periods between rhythmic movements like gait.
