Sayed Belal Mudassar

Vice-President Communications Candidate

What previous experience do you have in a communication role, and/or why do you think you are well equipped to take on this role?

I have lead student teams earlier, being a former school council member, and also founding a students' space technology-development team. These experienced involved organizing several meetings, discussions, planning, and executing several major events, such as national events and even the launch of my space team's first suborbital payload launch!

What are your goals for the FYEC this year if you are elected?

As VP Communications of FYEC, I’ll make our pages talk about students — our projects, wins, startups, and stories. I’ll post memes about engineering life (and that first ENGG 130 lab). Expect interactive posts, several behind-the-scenes moments, and first-year relatable material that keep things fun and connected. I’ll share real advice from professors, and my DMs will always stay open for everyone's memes, ideas, and stories — because this page belongs to all of us first-year engineers.

What sort of events or resources would you like to provide to students in terms of academics?

Social media supports from professors!

How do you plan to represent the views of all first year students when interacting with academic committees or the faculty?

Equal opportunity in sharing each other's opinions and words on the social media pages!
