UofA Bladesmithing
About
The University of Alberta Bladesmithing Team is a student-led group that brings together engineering, craftsmanship, and creativity through the art and science of bladesmithing. Using recycled materials and sustainable forging practices, members gain hands-on experience in metallurgy, manufacturing, and materials science.
Open to students from all faculties, the team provides opportunities to develop technical skills, collaborate with industry professionals and local artisans, and compete in the biennial TMS Bladesmithing Competition. Through forging, research, and teamwork, we create an inclusive environment where students can learn, innovate, and turn raw materials into exceptional blades.
