What previous experience do you have with social event planning?

At my high school, I helped plan several senior-year events, including our senior movie/game night and BBQ, where I was involved in advertising, setup, ticket sales, and coordination with students and teachers. I also took part in organizing other school events such as dances and Cultural Day, where I ran a booth representing my country. Through these experiences, I developed strong organizational and teamwork skills and have accumulated over 100 volunteer hours across various school and community activities.

What types of events would the FYEC host if you were elected to this position? (either virtual, in-person, or hybrid)

I would like to plan events such as nostalgic movie nights. Since midterms end late, we could have a get-together after to de-stress, as well as one after finals. I also want to host an end-of-semester “party” to celebrate all that we’ve accomplished. Also we'd plan fun challenges like “build the best pillow fort”, “make the best cardboard castle", etc... And of course, an end-of-year event to mark the end of our year! (All events would be in person).
